Boston Foodie Events for March/April 2008
I'm coming into my "serious eating" time of the year, which is really no different than any other time, except for the fact that a lot more events are taking place. Here's what's on the docket.
Boston Restaurant Week Winter 2008
March 9-14, March 17-21, Boston Area
Restaurant Week begins on Sunday and my reservations have long been made. Where I'll be heading:
Lumiere: Dinner, West Newton
Pigalle: Dinner, Theatre District
Bouche: Lunch, Back Bay
Top of the Hub: Lunch, Back Bay
Dante: Dinner, Cambridge
Taranta: Dinner, North End
I'm not sure how I ended up so heavy on French and Italian this season, but it should make the comparisons that much more interesting.
Annual Mass Audubon Sap to Syrup Breakfast
March 15-16, Drumlin Farm Wildlife Sanctuary, Lincoln
With any luck, yours truly will be making the homefries again! This is a fun fundraising event for anyone who wants a hefty, homecooked breakfast at a beautiful farm in Lincoln. It's also a nice way to welcome back spring.
Taste of the Nation April 2008
April 10, Hynes Convention Center, Boston
Sample some of the best tastes from many of the finest restaurants, bakeries and wineries throughout the Boston area. Standard ticket prices are $85 each, and they include all-you-can-eat food and beverage. Even better, the tickets help fund the fight to end childhood hunger. I'll be playing the role of "restaurant liaison," just like last year, and I'll be sure to return with new insights from top chefs.
Until then... Happy dining!
