AOL CityGuide's list of New England's best?
I tend to avoid AOL for everything except IM, which I'm practically required to use for work, so I don't put much credence in the AOL CityGuide 2007 list of "New England Area's best cuisine!" If you're interested, below is the list of winners.
I personally think Top of the Hub is overrated. The hype about the view makes it about the most unoriginal special occasion place you could pick. You'll find food 100% better at about 100 other nice restaurants in Boston. That said if you haven't seen the view (see pic), you should visit the bar up there. It's worthy of a $ drink, not a $$$$ dinner. As for another winner, I'd rather get my chowder from New England Soup Factory than from a seafood-by-mail business. I always associate Legal with Omaha Steaks for some reason -- it's not that it doesn't taste good, but I wouldn't put pricey restaurants associated with either at the top of my must-dine lists.
